This project stood on very poor soil and included a seam of Corn Brash. (This is a geological deposit of small stone.)
After importing 45 tonnes of new soil to the front and back of the property, we seeded new lawns.
We always choose seed where possible. At a tenth of the cost of turf, the range of varieties available offer much more suitable options for specific situations such as deep shade.
Carefully cutting and shaping the existing planting of shrubs along the driveway revived them beautifully and was a big cost saving. This now provides a very welcoming entrance to this lovely B&B property.
