CASE STUDY
This small private garden is near Cambridge. Our brief was for a low maintenance design, although the client expressed a preference for a bed featuring foliage.
So much year-round colour can be achieved with well-chosen foliage plants, although the client is encouraged to add some flowering plants to highlight seasonal change.
Other areas of the garden have been given a formal feel, with symmetrically placed topiary forms.
Together, formal and not-so-formal, is often referred to as Combination Planting and is an excellent way to give a different feel to different areas of the garden.
